10-10:30PM · HBO · Returns Sept. 7
Following Medellin's disastrous showing at Cannes, everyone's favorite fictional movie star, Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier), finds his Hollywood status on the downswing in season 5, while his brother Drama (Kevin Dillon) rides an unexpected wave of popularity that lands him on The View. Also starting to distance themselves from Vince are agent Ari (Jeremy Piven) and manager Eric (Kevin Connolly), who continues to sign new clients, including a comedian played by Shad Moss (a.k.a. Bow Wow; other guest stars include Tony Bennett, Leighton Meester, Fran Drescher, and exec producer Mark Wahlberg). ''The show was always about an A-list star,'' says exec producer Doug Ellin, ''and Vince has climbed up but never quite gotten there. So we'll see ramifications to the choices he's made.''
