As Dorian's victim, Angela Lansbury is gorgeous and touching in this fastidious Oscar Wilde adaptation The Picture of Dorian Gray. Hitchcock fans will note echoes between the staging of a murder and Psycho's basement finale. Best commentary tidbit: MGM head Louis B. Mayer totally missed the film's elegant homoeroticism. B
