Hearing N.W.A.'s gang-banging, drug-dealing, ho-slapping classic ''Boyz-N-the-Hood'' get a lily-whitewash by Dynamite Hack can be discomfiting — especially when the alterna-rockers use the word nigga. Yet the deadpan, Beck-meets-Marcy Playground vocals and pretty acoustic guitar riffing are insidiously catchy. Ice Cube doesn't have to worry, but these boys are sure to blow up. A-
