Good News for Modern Man (2012)

EW's GRADE
B

You might hear echoes of Elliott Smith in Good News for Modern Man — except Grant Hart came first, exploring the romantic confusion of angsty young men with legendary '80s band Husker Du. Hart still writes aching power pop, bolstered by grandiose, swirling wall-of-sound arrangements. It's nice to welcome back this underrated songwriter. B
