Details Release Date: Oct 28, 2008; Lead Performance: Kaiser Chiefs; Genre: Rock

Brit imports as of late seem to come in two varieties: earnest mope (Snow Patrol) or cheeky rock (The Ting-Tings). Kaiser Chiefs, five brash boys from Leeds, are most definitely the latter.

On Off With Their Heads Co-producer Mark Ronson corrals the band's camp-tastic pomp and working-class quirk into three-minute bangers that fly by in a rush of Jam-y guitars, stomping percussion, and pogo-worthy choruses. B+
