As we embark on what looks to be Hollywood's bloodiest summer ever, EW pledges to keep track of every last corpse. And we're off to a creative start: In Gladiator, folks were decapitated, suffocated, hanged, burned, split in two, slammed with maces, and pierced with burning arrows — making for an impressive 87 deaths, by our best count. Kim Basinger's I Dreamed of Africa came in with a none-too-shabby three demises. All of which comes to a grand total of: 90. If that doesn't satisfy your bloodlust, stay tuned for John Travolta's Battlefield Earth, Mel Gibson's The Patriot, and, of course, Disney's The Kid (just joshing).
