Four boxed sets in eight years seems excessive, but that suits the over-the-top Pythons, doesn't it? The Complete Monty Python's Flying Circus Collector's Edition combines — for the first time — the previously released four seasons, the live shows, the infamous German episode, and the six Personal Best specials with the top skits arranged by performer (Michael Palin fans can skip Terry Gilliam's cartoons, and so on). The Pepperpots, Mr. Mousebender, and Mozart all goof in digitally remastered splendor. And for something completely different, there are two new hour-long docs, the finer of which traces the Pythons' bid for Stateside fame. It's chock-full of trivia, vintage home videos, tributes by funnymen like Matt Stone, Paul Rudd, and Jimmy Fallon...and absolutely no Spam. A–
