Much of Genesis: 1970–1975 — which contains five albums with Peter Gabriel, rarities, and a DVD
 of assorted material
including a doc about their early years — is ''too artsy'' (to quote Bret Easton Ellis' late-period Genesis fan Patrick Bateman). But there are many moments of elegant prog-rock beauty as well. Meanwhile, in
a 2007 video interview included here, Phil Collins sums up the drummer's role in a band: ''Farts, drinks too much, cracks the odd joke, and deflates the tension.'' B
