CSI's Marg Helgenberger, 50, and actor husband (and current Screen
Actors Guild prez) Alan Rosenberg, 58, have separated after 19 years of
marriage. The pair have an 18-year-old son.
COURTS
On Nov. 26 in L.A., actress Kirsten Dunst, 26, was granted a temporary
restraining order against a 25-year-old Hollywood man who has allegedly
trespassed repeatedly on Dunst's property in L.A., and attempted to
enter her home. The restraining order also alleges that the man has
claimed to have a spiritual connection with Dunst.... Bruce Willis, 53,
settled a lawsuit with a Malaysian prince's environmental technology
company Nov. 26, less than one week after filing the suit in L.A. The
suit claimed the Petra Group owed cash to Willis after the actor tried
to recoup his $2 million investment in a Petra subsidiary that was
developing ''green rubber.'' ''It was an unfortunate series of
miscommunications,'' said a Petra spokesman, who also noted that Willis
remains a shareholder in the company. ''We are happy that the whole
matter has been resolved to the satisfaction of all parties.''
DEATHS
Playwright William Gibson, 94 author of 1959's Tony Award-winning play
The Miracle Worker died in his Stockbridge, Mass., home on Nov. 25 of
undisclosed causes.... Italian screenwriter Ennio De Concini, 84, who
won an Oscar for 1962's Divorce Italian Style, died Nov. 17 in Rome,
after a long battle with an undisclosed illness.... John Michael Hayes,
89, screenwriter of such classics as 1954's Rear Window and 1957's Peyton Place, died Nov. 19 in Hanover, N.H., of undisclosed causes....
Producer William Finnegan, 80, whose credits include Hawaii Five-O and
the 1989 film The Fabulous Baker Boys, died Nov. 28 in Sag Harbor, N.Y.,
of Parkinson's disease.... Alan Gordon, 64, co-writer of the 1967
Turtles hit ''Happy Together,'' died Nov. 22 in Scottsdale, Ariz., of

A BREAK IN THE HUDSON MURDERS? On Dec. 2, Chicago authorities charged Jennifer Hudson's estranged brother-in-law, William Balfour, with three counts of first-degree murder for the October slayings of the Oscar winner's mother, brother, and 7-year-old nephew. Balfour, 27, was transferred to Chicago police custody from an Illinois state prison where he had been serving time for an alleged parole violation. Balfour's lawyer has maintained his client's innocence.
