Battlestar Galactica: Season 4.0 (2009)

EW's GRADE
B+

Details Release Date: Jan 06, 2009; DVD Release Date: Jan 06, 2009; Genres: Drama, Sci-fi and Fantasy; More

Last spring's half season of Battlestar Galactica — in which the Cylons and humans finally made a shaky peace, the lost-in-space diaspora finally arrived at Earth, and Admiral Adama (Olmos) finally mustered up an emotion — had the best psych-out finish since Charlton Heston's visit to the Statue of Liberty. But that was merely the beginning of the end; the concluding 10 Battlestar episodes (''Season 4.5,'' they're calling it) will start airing Jan. 16. Which makes this boxed set (including the stand-alone TV movie Razor) a tad premature. In any case, there are zero clues about future plot twists in any of the extras — we're hoping the whole crew wakes up with Suzanne Pleshette — just the usual barrage of commentaries, deleted scenes, and on-set interviews. In other words, fans should frakking love it. B+
