Friday the 13th (2009)

Nearly 30 years after Mrs. Voorhees sliced and diced a crew of Camp Crystal Lake counselors in the original Friday the 13th, Michael Bay (Transformers) brings us this re-imagining of the iconic horror flick. When a young woman goes missing near infamous Crystal Lake, her brother Clay (Jared Padalecki), takes to the abandoned cabins and overgrown wilderness to look for her — against the advice of both police and locals. He gets help from a group of college kids partying at the lake, that is, until they stumble into the machete-wielding hands of a homicidal maniac.
