Talk about cutting through red tape. Exasperated by the bureaucratic system, photographer Jan Banning and writer Will Tinnemans traveled across the globe to locate and snap photos of the faces behind the government process. They succeeded, and compiled Bureaucratics (Nazraeli Press, $60), a new photo book featuring 50 widely varying pictures of civil servants from the U.S. to Yemen.
