Exotic Locale: San Juan Capistrano, Calif.
Movie Pitch: Take your standard pursuit drama; add a dash of GoodFellas and a dollop of The Dark Wind.
Lowdown: Though Jane is by far his best creation, Thomas Perry hasn't featured her in nine years, and it shows: She's grown a little creaky from disuse.
