Bobby Valentino wants you to know that ''You're Not Alone.'' See, he's wild about your ''Butterfly Tattoo'' — so much so that he's dying to ''Make You the Only One,'' if not quite enough to keep him from trying to convince you that ''3 Is the New 2.'' Okay, demanding depth or nuance from slow-jam lyrics may be a fool's game. But the flat, repetitive melodies on The Rebirth, Valentino's third album, are less easily forgiven. Use it as seduction music if you must, but only if you're with someone who won't be listening very closely. C–
