With rampaging-dinosaur movies virtually extinct, it's a treat to see three vintage specimens unearthed simultaneously for video. But beware, enlightened viewers: What's truly prehistoric about these movies is their attitude toward women.
Animator Ray Harryhausen shows the same knack for funeral-pyre gyrations at the close of The Valley of Gwangi, when James Franciscus incinerates a Tyrannosaurus rex on a church altar. Sadly, most of this dreary cross between King Kong and Big Valley involves wranglers roping prehistoric creatures that look like rubber toys. Too bad they never lasso the wooden Franciscus for repeatedly belittling his ''cockeyed female'' costar, Gila Golan. C-
