April 3 after being hospitalized for abdominal pains. A rep for the

gastrointestinal illness, which has affected Hartnett for months.
FEUD
Alaska governor Sarah Palin, 45, had some harsh words for Levi Johnston,
19, after his April 6 appearance on The Tyra Banks Show, during which he
alleged that the former vice-presidential candidate probably knew about
the premarital sexual activity that he and her daughter Bristol, 18,
engaged in. (The pair had a son, Tripp, before splitting a month ago.)
In a statement to People.com, Palin's rep said, ''We're disappointed that
Levi and his family...are engaging in flat-out lies, gross exaggeration,
and even distortion of their relationship.''
COMING HOME
Madonna, 50, returned to the U.K. on March 5 after a Malawi judge
rejected the singer's bid to adopt a 3-year-old girl named Chifundo
''Mercy'' James. A rep for Madonna who adopted son David, 3, in the
country in 2006 says the singer will appeal the ruling, although no time
frame was given.

Farrah Fawcett: ''Very Resilient,'' Says Doctor
On April 2, actress Farrah Fawcett, 62, experienced a new obstacle in her two-and-a-half-year battle with anal cancer: an overzealous press. Fawcett, who checked into an L.A. hospital for a hematoma after undergoing an unidentified surgical procedure in Germany, was photographed entering the facility in a wheelchair, fueling reports that her condition was worsening. But friend Craig Nevius insists that such reports are ''irresponsible'' and, more importantly, false: ''She's not at death's door,'' says Nevius, who's producing the doc A Wing & a Prayer about Fawcett's fight. ''She's a little pissed off that people are counting her out already.'' Fawcett's physician, Dr. Lawrence Piro, adds that the actress will be discharged ''in the next couple days.'' (As of press time, Fawcett remained in the hospital.) ''She continues to fight with all the tools available to her, including her sense of humor,'' Piro says. ''She is very resilient.'' (It's a good thing, because Fawcett also has family worries to contend with: On April 7, Redmond O'Neal her son with actor Ryan O'Neal was charged with heroin possession after being arrested on April 5.) Those close to the Charlie's Angels star say she has remained upbeat. ''Her spirits have always been good,'' says friend Alana Stewart, who is co-producing Prayer. ''I think that's part of what keeps her going.'' Kate Ward, with additional reporting by Mike Bruno, Jeff Jensen, and Dan Snierson
Tom and Gisele: Shotgun Wedding?
A little over a month after their first walk down the aisle, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, 31, and supermodel Gisele Bündchen, 28, exchanged vows again on April 4 in Costa Rica. But the romantic atmosphere was marred when a bodyguard allegedly shot at the car of Agence France-Presse photographer Yuri Cortez, who had been trying to snap photos of the event. Only Cortez's vehicle was hit; he has since filed a complaint with the San José police, who are investigating to determine who fired the shots. A spokesman for Brady has said he has no knowledge of the incident. Lindsay Soll
