Russell Crowe fans, prepare to hit pause. The hunk goes Godiva in the touching '92 Aussie coming-of-age tale Hammers over the Anvil, which opens with the Method man baring all as a horse trainer who has so much in common with his animals that he bathes with them. He's an idol to many in his small 1910 town, including a beautiful married aristocrat (Rampling) who breaks him. The meandering story could use some dramatic heft, but should boredom set in, you can always rewind. B
