Details Lead Performance: French Frith Kaiser Thompson

A hipsters' super-group — guitarists Henry Kaiser and Fred Frith, British folk-rocker Richard Thompson, ex-Captain Beefheart drummer John French — team up for a second, delightfully strange collection, Invisible Means. They romp through musical parodies, a hilarious rock-star-death-ploitation song, Celtic rock, and off-the-wall instrumentals. Way too long at 17 tracks, but a treat for the adventurous. B+
