It's mind-boggling that Don Byron — whose stunning 1992 Tuskegee Experiments was the most brilliant clarinet album in many years — would follow up by re-creating (however affectionately) Mickey Katz's 40-year-old klezmer music and borscht belt parodies. And on Don Byron Plays the Music of Mickey Katz, he doesn't know joking about Cousin Moishe being ''a faygeleh'' is offensive these days? C-
