A prison shrink (Daniels), a gaggle of convicts, and some would-be wacko suburbanites tear up two houses looking for $8.5 million in what is essentially a TV-caliber farce with elephantiasis. The cast of There Goes the Neighborhood (which also includes Hector Elizondo, Rhea Perlman, Dabney Coleman, and Judith Ivey) is game, but the tone is terminally hip and the whole concept of people breaking their necks over money is fairly rank. Wrong decade, folks. D+
