''Life is like a country & western song,'' somebody actually says here. But even if she does have a point, Cheatin' Hearts doesn't. Brolin plays a runaway husband who comes home for his daughter's wedding and has a bittersweet reunion with his abandoned wife (Kirkland). Set against New Mexico's wide-open spaces, the movie is as purty as a Nashville Network music video, and it's just about as deep. C
