The Brasil Project, Vol. II (1993)

EW's GRADE
B

Details Lead Performance: Toots Thielemans; Genre: Jazz

Jazz's crown prince of the chromatic harmonica goes to the Brazilian music well again, humbly, triumphantly. As always, Thielemans coaxes slithery suavity from his pocket-size ax, which, in the company of Brazilian greats like Milton Nascimento, Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, and Ivan Lins on The Brasil Project, Vol. II, makes for some of the most shamelessly, forgivably smooth sounds around.
