The baby-voiced, furry-faced, 51-year-old crooners are showing no signs of letting up. Two years after their first surprise hit movie grossed $361 million worldwide, their guardian, Dave (Jason Lee), is enrolling the Chipmunks in high school, where they encounter the ravishing Chipettes. And if surviving first love isn't enough, the trio falls under the temporary supervision of Dave's loser cousin (Chuck's Zachary Levi), who gets on the nerves of Simon in particular. ''I always felt bad for Simon,'' says Levi. ''Alvin and Theodore constantly give him trouble, and you'd think he'd just snap. That's the next movie: Simon With a Magnum.''
