Were you always so stylish, even as a kid?
I was always overdressed. There's never been a photo of me in sweats.
Even when I played sports, I would put on jewelry. I actually climbed
the Grand Tetons in platforms.
You and your husband, Rodger, are huge Grateful Dead fans, right?
Die-hard. Our wedding song was ''Peggy-O.'' I went to one show and I
looked at [Rodger] and I was like, ''I wanna follow them.'' All of a
sudden I was getting in a VW van.
Really?
No. I did get a veggie stir-fry out of a VW van. The parking lot is
kinda the best part of the show.
How's your assistant Taylor? Still difficult?
She gets a bad rap. She's tough as nails, but she's a marshmallow on the
inside.
Tell us about the accessories line you're launching this fall.
Everything will be affordable price points. The idea is to get ideas
from luxury. If you can have it, great; if you can't, don't worry about
it. That's why we have Topshop or H&M.
Your weight is an issue this season. Do you want to clear up the
eating-disorder rumors?
I don't have an eating disorder. I definitely do not. I have a very
stressful life. I eat what I want to eat.
What did you think of the first season of your series?
I'm like, ''Damn, I wear too much makeup!'' Good God, does no one tell me
I look like a transvestite every day?!
