Is Gossip Girl outing Chuck as bisexual?
Hold off on throwing that coming-out party for Chuck Bass.

While it's true that Chuck (Ed Westwick) will kiss a dude in Gossip Girl's sixth episode — a scoop first reported on EW.com — a Gossip insider says it shouldn't be seen as a sign that the CW series is taking a page from Cecily von Ziegesar's book series, which eventually revealed that the legendary lothario was bisexual. ''Chuck is not going to suddenly start dating guys,'' says the source.

Then why's he sucking face with a man? Not surprisingly, it's the result of one of Blair's (Leighton Meester) nefarious plots. Desperate to snag the honor of delivering the famed freshman speech at NYU, the scheme queen goes so far as to pimp her boyfriend out to the gay guy — played by former soap star Neal Bledsoe — tasked with selecting the orator.

The catch? Well, there is one, of course. And here's a bonus tease: Wait till you hear what Chuck says to Blair immediately after the lip-lock.

Bones' Sister Act
Bones is talking to Emily Deschanel's movie-star sis, Zooey (far left), about guesting this December as Brennan's cousin. Series creator Hart Hanson has been trying for years to pair the sisters on screen but says, ''Zooey's rockin' career keeps getting in the way.''

Derek flies solo on Grey's Anatomy
Ellen Pompeo's real-life pregnancy (and forthcoming maternity leave) may be the best thing to happen to her Grey's Anatomy leading man, Patrick Dempsey, since conditioner. As executive producer Krista Vernoff explains, Dempsey has been ''patiently and willingly'' waiting to get a story line that wasn't directly tied to the Derek-Meredith love story, and this season he'll get his wish. ''Derek hasn't been a fully explored character separate from Meredith,'' Vernoff concedes. ''The fact that by necessity Ellen is going to need a little less screen time gives us encouragement to explore Derek as an [individual] and as a doctor.'' First up, Vernoff says, Derek will anchor what she calls an ''extraordinary medical story'' that will find him bonding with a patient in this season's sixth episode, directed by costar Chandra Wilson.

End of days for Supernatural?
Supernatural creator Eric Kripke is sticking by his word that the CW thriller will bow out next May after five seasons. Sort of. ''I did set out [to] tell a five-season story line,'' he maintains. ''I'm looking at this season as the last chapter in this particular story, but that doesn't mean there can't be a new story. Buffy did it. The X-Files did it. You close a chapter on a big mythology story line, and then you begin a new one.''
