Furtado's progression from Portuguese-
Canadian pop-folkie to urban-radio dance-floor minx went fairly smoothly. Her latest incarnation — perhaps best described as Latina easy listening — puts her in a long line of chart divas (J. Lo, Beyoncé, Christina Aguilera) who have jumped on the álbum en español bandwagon, and the results are not so muy bien.
