With 15 songs written in six days, the music on Between My Head ad the Sky feels too free, dancing in five different directions while Ono repeats simple mantras (''Water evaporates!'') and not-so-simple mantras (''Boo-waah-hahaa!''). It's only when she wails in her native tongue on ''Unun. To'' that there's any emotion. Whatever she's singing, it sounds like Japanese for ''corkscrew through your heart.'' C+
