'So You Think You Can Dance': We Vote Yes!

The hit dance makes a big change

So You Think You Can Dance is doing away with its results show? Say it's so! On Jan. 1, exec producer Nigel Lythgoe tweeted that Fox had axed the struggling Thursday installment for season 9 of the Cat Deeley-hosted series. (Fox has yet to confirm.) It's not a big loss considering at one point last season the results show garnered only a 1.6 overnight rating in the key 18-49 demo. The same cutback is less likely at Fox's American Idol and ABC's Dancing With the Stars, where results episodes still earn strong ratings. But we can't say we'd complain about less product placement and overlong dramatics.
