HAROLD PERRINEAU SELECTS HIS 10 NEW CLASSIC DANCE MOMENTS ON TV

1. Julia Louis-Dreyfus' Elaine gets the party started on Seinfeld (1996).

2. Gregory Hines' tribute to Sammy Davis Jr. during Davis' 60th Anniversary Celebration (1990).

3. MTV premieres Michael Jackson's "''Thriller'' (1983).

4. Barack Obama dances with Ellen on The Ellen DeGeneres Show (2007). It's the first time you got to see him be human. I signed on then.

5. Howard ''Sandman'' Sims' tap-dancing executions on It's Showtime at the Apollo (1987-2000).

6. Will Smith joins Alfonso Ribeiro in the ''Carlton dance'' on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air's series finale (1996). One of the best dance bonding moments in sitcom history.

7. The opening and closing credits of Solid Gold, featuring the Solid Gold Dancers (1980-88).

8. Ally McBeal's dancing baby (1998). A little disturbing, but really funny.

9. Usher re-creates ''Singin' in the Rain'' on Movies Rock (2007).

10. Harold Perrineau makes his TV debut on Fame's ''Back to Something New'' episode (1986). It was a dream-come-true moment for me. But I looked at it recently: I was only okay.
