STARRING Ewan McGregor, Pierce Brosnan, Olivia Williams and Kim Cattrall
WRITTEN BY Robert Harris
DIRECTED BY Roman Polanski
A well-known British ghostwriter (Ewan McGregor) agrees to complete the memoirs of former British prime minister Adam Lang (Pierce Brosnan), only to discover that the person who'd helmed the project before him died in a mysterious accident. As the writer delves deep into the project, Lang is accused of a war crime and finds himself amid controversy. The press descends upon the story, but the writer is onto a story of his own. He begins to expose clues that suggest his predecessor may have stumbled upon deadly secrets. Director Roman Polanski's personal drama aside, the plot suggests he at least still knows how to do drama on film.
