In this R-rated drama, Michael Douglas stars as a former car-dealership tycoon juggling relationships with his ex-wife (Susan Sarandon), his girlfriend (Mary-Louise Parker), and his girlfriend's 18-year-old daughter (Imogen Poots). After four decades of ethically challenged roles (including Wall Street's Gordon Gekko), the actor cops to having a soft spot for flawed characters. ''I like to flirt with that gray area,'' he says, ''not overtly being heroic or a villain. Just being human.''
