Details Release Date: Sep 24, 2010; Rated: PG; Length: 97 Minutes; Genres: Animation, Sci-fi and Fantasy; With: Sam Neill and Jim Sturgess; Distributor: Warner Bros.

Brother owlets Soren (Jim Sturgess) and Kludd (Ryan Kwanten) stumble into an epic clash between the chivalrous Guardians and the Nazi-like Pure Ones in Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole, a delightfully immersive CG fantasy from the animators of Happy Feet. Understanding the finer points of owl realpolitik takes effort, and the ultimate conflict — which includes an unnerving betrayal — warrants parental guidance. But director Zack Snyder (300) has crafted the rare 3-D eyegasm that's worth the premium ticket price. B+
