Harry Potter fans who have already finished reading ''Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix'' and are hungry again for new Potter material will only have to wait until this fall. That's when Electronic Arts is releasing the newest Potter videogame. It's an update of the company's ''Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone,'' but made available for the first time with 3-D graphics on the newer platforms PlayStation 2, Xbox, and Nintendo GameCube.
Designed by English software company Warthog (''Star Trek Invasion,'' the Xbox game ''Bounty Hunter''), ''Sorcerer's Stone'' sends players through Harry's first year at Hogwarts, with graphics and gameplay reportedly a Nimbus 2000 flight ahead of those on EA's old Playstation version of the game released in 2001. The new ''Sorcerer's Stone'' joins EA's game version of the second Potter novel, ''Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets,'' also designed for PS2, Xbox, and GameCube. ''Sorcerer's'' will be delivered to stores (presumably via owl) in September.
