New adoption show asks: ''Who's Your Daddy?'' If she guesses correctly which of the eight men is her biological dad, she wins a jackpot

Back in July, NBC chief Jeff Zucker complained that Fox was aping his network's reality show ideas (calling The Next Great Champ a knock-off of NBC's boxing show The Contender), adding that Fox's original reality shows were ''secret'' projects like Who's Your Daddy?, a program about a woman trying to guess which one of a group of men is her father. Fox execs dismissed Zucker's allegations at the time and declined to comment on his account of Who's Your Daddy?. But it turns out Zucker was right; Fox is indeed preparing such a show, a one-shot reality special that will air from 8 to 9:30 on Jan. 3.

According to a Fox press release issued Tuesday, the show will center on an adoptee who interrogates a group of eight men, one of whom is her biological dad. If she guesses correctly which of the men gave her up for adoption when she was an infant, she wins $100,000. If she picks an imposter, he wins the money. Either way, the network says, parent and child will be reunited on this ''dramatic and emotional special.'' We're sure that the lawsuit that follows, claiming emotional distress, will make an equally dramatic special.
