This modest movie has indie cred in spades: It was directed by Thomas McCarthy (The Station Agent), stars Paul Giamatti and Amy Ryan, and premiered at Sundance this January. The plot centers on Giamatti as a lawyer-slash-high-school-wrestling-coach, who forms a connection with a star wrestler (Alex Shaffer) who has his own demons to face. Ryan plays Giamatti's devoted wife, while Melanie Lynskey appears as the kid's messed-up mother.
