Yet it's her father (Clive Owen) who freaks, bellows, screams, rages, weeps, and generally crowds everyone else out of the room with his daddy drama. (In keeping with the story's heavy-handedness, he's an ad exec who specializes in sexy images aimed at young teens.) David Schwimmer directs this smarmy Hot Topic drama (Trust) with empathy for the craft of acting but less interest in the craft of making a movie move. B–
