There isn't much to the characters in this morose thriller. Maybe that's why Deadfall plays up the weather (it was shot in blizzard conditions) and trumps up the violence (a sliced-off pinkie, close-range shotgun blasts). Eric Bana, using one of those studied drawls that blank out an actor's personality, plays a killer on the run with his sister (Olivia Wilde). The two split up, she finds love (with Sons of Anarchy's Charlie Hunnam as a boxer who threw a fight — dead cliché alert!), and they all wind up at a Thanksgiving dinner that turns into a bloodbath.
