Nick Broomfield, a graduate of the one-man-band school of documentary muckraking, goes up to Sarah Palin's hometown of Wasilla, Alaska, where he
interviews everyone he can find who knows her. He creates a portrait of Palin as a politician with a compulsion to destroy anyone who has crossed her. And though a great deal of this material (e.g., Troopergate) seems like old news, Broomfield is so dogged that he makes
 a case, in a deeper way than we've seen, that there's a
terrifying remorselessness to Palin's feuding nature. B
