'Bridesmaids': Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph on...

The funny ladies dish behind-the-scenes info and a possible sequel

Kristen Wiig on...
Co-writing Bridesmaids with Annie Mumolo. (Judd Apatow produced the film and Paul Feig directed.)
''I went to Annie's house and she had a how-to-write-a-screenplay book. We sat there for 15 hours. In a matter of days we turned in a first draft. We laughed a lot, but we were like, 'Is [Judd] going to think we're the biggest idiots in the world?' We didn't know how to write stage direction so we were like, 'Um, then they go to this place.' It needed a lot of work, but four and a half years later we figured it out.''

Maya Rudolph on...
The movie's patronizing reception in some quarters
''First it was 'Oh, so it's the female Hangover.' No, it's not. Then people were like, 'Hey, it's not a chick flick!' Chick flick? When did we time-travel to 1983? Then I heard 'It was great. My wife dragged me to it and I loved it.' Well, you should love it — it's funny!''

The odds of there being a Bridesmaids sequel
''I hope! You can never recreate an experience, but I know that, based on the talent of this group, something amazing and magical would come out of it.''
