Reviews of the latest releases from Eric Hutchinson, SWV, and Spiritualized

Eric Hutchinson, Moving Up Living Down
Lower-profile (but higher-energy) than Mat Kearney or Matt Nathanson, the Grey's Anatomy-approved singer-songwriter tricks out his latest with bits of Motown soul and white-dude reggae. It's like happy hour in 47 minutes. B+Mikael Wood

SWV, I Missed Us
The R&B hitmakers' first album in 15 years probably won't return them to the top of the charts (these days, member ''Taj'' Johnson-George may be better known for her 2009 stint on Survivor). But '90s-style cuts ''All About You'' and the Chaka Khan-sampling ''Do Ya'' still get us weak in the knees. B+Mikael Wood

Spiritualized, Sweet Heart Sweet Light
NASA may be short on funding, but we still have these atmospheric explorers. The U.K. gauze-rockers' seventh album distills all their blissed-out guitar fuzz and melodic psych hymns into their catchiest effort in years. A-Ray Rahman
