Fourteen years after Happiness, why is director Todd Solondz still mucking around with the sort of idiot neurotic dweeb who makes George Costanza look like George Clooney? Abe (Jordan Gelber), a 35-year-old dolt, lives with his parents and stuffs his room with action figures and models of The Simpsons. He's a character meant to make us squirm, but the most squirm-inducing aspect of Dark Horse is the way that Solondz is still stuck in his outdated loser tropes. (Also available on VOD) C
