Ew Kicks Off SAG Weekend

EW's Carrie Bell talks to stars at our pre-SAG Party

Over a busy awards weekend, Argo cemented its front-runner status with a top-prize win at the Producers Guild Awards on Jan. 26 and a best-ensemble win at the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Jan. 27. But the stars weren't just out collecting hardware. A slew of famous faces dropped by the Chateau Marmont for Entertainment Weekly's pre--SAG Awards party. Said Community's Joel McHale, ''I get a night out with the wife, some free food, and I don't have to watch Rango for the millionth time with the kids.''

Silver Linings Playbook star Bradley Cooper greeted costar Anupam Kher (the Bollywood actor plays his character's therapist). Cooper missed out on the best-actor SAG award, but his Silver Linings leading lady, Jennifer Lawrence, won for best actress.

''The reception is always so wonderful when we Downton dwellers come over for the awards shows.''
Downton Abbey's Michelle Dockery (She wasn't kidding: Downton went on to win for best TV-drama ensemble.)

''I get to see a lot of my peers who I haven't seen in a while. An awards show is like a very well-dressed reunion.''
The Vampire Diaries' Nina Dobrev
