Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer, the stars and creators of Comedy Central's Broad City, are my new, kind of embarrassing best friends. Have you met them yet? Admittedly, one could see how their comedy show, based on the Upright Citizens Brigade pair's Web series and executive-produced by sisterly Amy Poehler, might not be for everyone. Their main characters, Abbi and Ilana, are two twentysomething women living in New York City who like to get super high and could give a damn about their stupid jobs and are unapologetically horny — though Abbi really hates it when Ilana uses that word. But these idiots are so true, and such great champions of each other, that one can't help but envy their ridiculous misadventures.

As performers, the women are both spectacular. Jacobson is especially good at moments of clumsy physical comedy, like a scene in which she tries fruitlessly to hoist herself up a fire escape and falls into a pile of trash. Glazer's gift is her bizarre, mannered style of talking. ''Okay, who would you rather have go down on you: Michael Bublé or Jah-net Jahx-son?'' she asks Abbi out of the blue while the two are waiting for a locksmith on Ilana's apartment stoop. The supporting cast is also winning, from John Gemberling, who plays the mooch boyfriend of Abbi's roommate, to Hannibal Buress, as a dentist and Ilana's overly accommodating sex buddy. Freaked out yet? Listen, this is a deeply weird, weirdly sweet, and completely hilarious comedy, and if you don't at least give it a chance, you're kind of an idiot too. A
