CROSSING OVER Britney reveals how hard it was to make a movie

All About

Crossroads

The truth is out: Making movies is harder than the pop life. ''I'm just trying not to make a fool of myself,'' said Britney Spears at the premiere of her ''Crossroads.'' ''When I'm on stage, I feel in control. When I'm doing a movie with other people and a director, I have to relinquish that a bit.'' (Spears' movie career isn't a picnic for beau Justin Timberlake, either; he didn't love the kissing scenes. ''I squirm a little when I watch it, but I know it's acting,'' he says. ''At the end of the day, she goes home with me.'') With the film behind her, will Spears hit the road like the characters in ''Crossroads''? ''This movie inspired me to take [a trip] with my girlfriends,'' says the superstar, ''but I'd have to get a bigger car to fit my bodyguards.''
