HITCHING POST Unfortunately, Whitney Houston has sent her regrets; she won't be among the cast of thousands at the Liza Minnelli-David Gest wedding this weekend in New York, and she won't be serenading the bridal couple with ''The Greatest Love of All,'' as previously announced. She's busy recording in Florida, the New York Daily News reports. Filling in at the last minute will be Natalie Cole, singing ''Unforgettable.''

HEALTH WATCH It's not a good week for boomer rockers on tour. Billy Joel had to scrap a show due to laryngitis, and now Neil Young has the flu. As a result, Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young's March 15 show in Tacoma, Wash., has been postponed until April 28, and CSNY's March 17 show in Portland, Ore., has been postponed until April 29.
