
PROGRESS REPORT Poundstone gets good news from the judge

LEGAL BRIEFS Like Robert Downey Jr., Paula Poundstone got a positive grade on her court-ordered progress report this week, having continued to fulfill the requirement of her probation that she stay clean and sober. While the Los Angeles Superior Court judge in her child-endangerment case refused to grant her requests for additional child-visitation rights, fewer counseling and therapy sessions, and more than five travel days at a time away from L.A., he did tell her that, among the ''hundreds and hundreds of people'' whose efforts to turn over a new leaf he oversees, she was ''one of the best,'' and he hailed her as a ''leader.'' Outside the courthouse in Santa Monica, the comedian crowed about being called ''a leader among felons''....
