Details Release Date: Apr 16, 2002; Movie Rated: PG-13; Genre: Mystery and Thriller; With: John Travolta and Vince Vaughn; Distributor: Paramount Pictures

Domestic Disturbance has a promising setup: A young troublemaker (Matt O'Leary) resents his new stepdad (Vince Vaughn) and accuses him of murder. Only his father (an unobtrusive John Travolta) believes him. The first 15 minutes of ''Malice'' director Harold Becker's rote thriller are great fun, as Vaughn slides smoothly between creep and charmer. But much of the film is a bore, devoting too much time to the kid and not enough to Vaughn's menacing drawl. By the end, we're rooting for the villain. Also starring Steve Buscemi as -- surprise -- a weasel.
