Giuseppe Tornatore's 1990 Foreign Film Oscar winner mapped the tumultuous life of Salvatore, a famous filmmaker whose art is inspired by his personal tragedies -- so what's another 51 minutes? Translation: Most of the restored footage in the now-nearly-three-hour comedy-drama is an epilogue to the romance between Salvatore and his adolescent love, Elena.
