Did you ever feel like cracking up when The Rock was right in your face intoning stuff like ''I make my own destiny''?
Sometimes, because Rock is such a prankster. But he and Michael Clarke Duncan had a really hard time doing their scenes together because they have this male testosterone thing going on that I don't really understand yet. And every time they would even look at each other, they would just start busting out laughing. So with them it was such a challenge just to get through the scenes. But I'm not exactly sure where it came from, and I didn't want to get into it because I was afraid it would start happening to me.
The movie you're about to start working on is "Cradle to the Grave,'' a thriller with Jet Li. Don't you ever want to do a quiet domestic drama?
[Laughs] What would be the fun of that? I really enjoy doing these action films. I'm all about the physicality of stuff. My favorite days are when I don't have to memorize dialogue and I can just get out there and kick ass.
When ''Spider-Man'' comes out, it's almost certainly gonna end ''Scorpion King'''s box office run. But never mind ticket sales -- who'd win in a fight: Spider-Man or Scorpion King?
Oh, definitely Scorpion King. C'mon, little Tobey Maguire versus The Rock? Spider-Man wouldn't stand a chance.
