What did it take to get into shape?
I was working out six days a week, two work outs a day. Sometimes I'd do an hour and a half of yoga then hit the weight room for an hour or two. I also did gymnastics, martial arts, weights, and high-end cardio, which meant bike rides and runs. I enjoyed almost all of it. I even got to a point where I liked lifting weights, which for me is pretty funny.

Have you maintained your Spidey figure?
It's fine for the film, but afterwards I wasn't really inspired to do it.

Were you a fan of the ''Spider-Man'' comics?
No. Nobody ever gave me comics when I was a kid, so I never got into it.

Considering Jude Law, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Freddie Prinze Jr. were all reportedly interested in the part, did you have to fight for the role?
Sam Raimi wanted me all the way through, but there was an issue with the studio. Thankfully Sam was a good partner to have in fighting for the job. If I wasn't his first choice, I wouldn't have bothered.

How do you respond to the people who rooted for other actors to play ''Spider-Man''?
When I first got the job I went on the web and read the feedback. A few people have said I was soft and couldn't be an action star, but that was the least of my worries. Get in shape? It's a lot of work, but it's pretty simple. But I'd say 90 percent of the feedback I read was positive. There have been a few people who've implied that there's been more negative stuff than positive, and unless I'm an idiot or people have been hiding stuff from me, I think that's just not true.
